Rooted in History
From the founding of the original Chicago Woman's Club in 1876 to today, Chicago women have always been placemakers and change agents. At the time of its original founding, The Chicago's woman's club was one of many female-founded organizations in Chicago biased towards taking action and organizing to create great change. These women led the foundation of programs & institutions that were the first of their time. Reincorporation of one of the first woman's clubs is a testament to the spirit of the women that have come before us and a commitment to recognize, reflect, & reimagine society to include the varied experiences of today's modern Chicago woman.
